I got the following message: ‘Sharkey was a shoe mender. Crean became a butcher’s under a different name and Montgomery was a veg shop with fish on Friday. I remember so well, standing in line for a Ray.’ I hope that shines a bit of light. I was delighted with the text and thought I would share. Reply That’s lovely Paul! Especially the detail about fish on Fridays! Thanks 🙂 By post author Reply Great bit of History there Paul. I’ve been meaning to google this forever as I pass by it regularly on my way to Sandymount Reply Leave a Reply Cancel reply Comment Name * Email * Website Save my name, email, and website in this browser for the next time I comment.
