Following the news in today’s Irish Times that The Irish Yeast Co. is up for sale (building and contents), I realised I had never posted a photo of it on the blog, despite the fact that it closed down a couple of years ago.
If you look closely on the brickwork, you can just about make out the traces of not one, but two hand-painted ghost signs. There’s one at the top of the building advertising The Irish Yeast Co. and between the 1st and 2nd floor windows, you can just about make out the word ‘SUNDRIES’.
I would love to see old photos of this place if you know of any!
Look above the shopfront & you might be able to make out a trace of The Irish Yeast Co.’s / sundries #oldsigns. Would love to see an old photo of these. 📷 College Street, #Dublin2 #ghostsigns #fadedsign #Dublin #DublinStreets #DublinMyDarling #yeast #ghostsign #LookUp #blackandwhite #dublinisblackandwhite
